Fear the Walking Dead: Season 2 portraits

Beautiful sunshine lit portraits announce the departure of Abigail, and the second season of Fear the Walking Dead, which sets sail April 10th.
This isn’t spring break. The teacher and the guidance counselor are never going back to their jobs. The kids are never going back to school. The only job left now for everyone is to survive.
The homes and lives they once knew no longer exist. Abigail is their new home. These people are their new family. Their step-step family. Cliff Curtis, who plays Travis told Design Trend that they won’t be alone out there either.

“We’re out at sea, and we’re not the only ones out there, basically. There’s a whole bunch of people who have the same idea as us. I’m having a great time with the new script.”
AMC has released lovely portraits of the cast with sunshine back lighting to prepare us for season 2. These portraits are a nice contrast from the key art that usually accompanies The Walking Dead.

There are no walkers or infected in the photos. Things look peaceful and calm. There is sunshine. We see it is Los Angeles and not the woods of Georgia. We get the sense that it’s the beginning. Things are just starting. It’s a different show. Different from The Walking Dead and a little different from last season.
When Fear the Walking Dead was introduced last summer, we had lots of walker promo images along with fun teasers of pools and basketball playgrounds and skate parks with unsuspecting citizens enjoying life before a walker shadow approached.

Now we know about the infected. We’ve met our group. We get to see them pretty and clean about to set sail on a beautiful boat in the beautiful water with beautiful sunshine trying to outrun the ugly infection.
P.S. I still can’t wait to see what hip West Coast names they start giving to the infected.
P.P.S. Everyone is wrapped up in Nick not changing his jacket. I don’t mind the retro jacket; I want him to get a comb!
