The Walking Dead: Who might die during the season 6 finale?
By Adam Carlson
Adam’s Prediction: Abraham Ford
Allowing Abraham to survive his final moments from the comic book series by replacing his death with Denise was interesting, but just how much longer can Abraham cheat death?
So much has been built up around Abraham during season 6. He has shown bravery, overcome his mental frustrations, given into love, and saved lives. Abraham has also been talking a lot about starting a family and being a lot more personable following his change of heart about Rosita.
Personally, I love the character of Abraham. So many fantastic one liners have come out of his mouth over the course of the show and seeing him try to start a relationship with Sasha gives some hope that there might be more for him out there for him than he thinks. Sadly, that’s a bad thing in the world of The Walking Dead.
On the zombie survival drama, having big moments leading up to a big episode is usually a bad thing. That means that writers are attempting to draw a bigger connection to a character before they take them away. Fans have seen that happen with nearly every death on the show, with very few of the kills being completely out of left field.
Not only that, but Negan is going to want to make a big message by choosing a strong, capable member of Rick’s groups to kill. And if Negan uses the eye test, he’ll see that killing Abraham makes all the sense in the world to let Alexandria know that he means business.
Plus, it gives Negan a chance to say “Let me introduce you to Lucille.” To which Abraham would likely reply “Who’s Lucille?”
Next: Will it be one of the Grimes family?
