Talking Dead premiered for Fear the Walking Dead’s season 2 premiere with guests Cliff Curtis, David Erickson and fan Hozier on the couch in the loft.

David Erickson lets us know that Los Angeles is burning and everyone is running for their lives. It’s only been a few hours since season 1 ended. We left with Cobalt, which took people out, now they are bombing the cities to contain the infection. The walkers are moving out.

Cliff Curtis had his first zombie dream. His dream life allowed him to fly when the zombies came running at him. The zombies are more human, but the heat and the sea will start to affect their look as time moves on.

Abigail is a huge constructed set. We had some behind the scenes looks at Abigail as well as the cold water shoots. Colman Domingo gave an interview. David Erickson said we will find out more about Strand and Abigail.

Colman said when he got the role he loved his monologue. He found it theatrical and Shakespearean.  He said “you can see me as your Jesus, you can see me as your devil, just as long as you see me.”

Hozier said he definitely doesn’t trust Strand and finds it awful the way he told the guy in the cell that his wife would be okay because she had a good body sheerly for his own entertainment. Of course, Hozier loves his portrayal by Domingo and wants to learn more.

Some fun trivia from “Inside the Dead”: The dials and gadgets on Abigail are fully functioning and Colman Domingo had yacht training so he knows what’s going on with them now. Rubén Blades had never been fishing. He caught the plastic eel for his first catch!

Cliff Curtis is pretty clear about his character as a teacher. He understands that he has probably seen high school kids act out violently for smaller things than the death of a mother  by the hands of the father in a crazy world like this.

He probably wishes he wouldn’t have that as the last minutes with his mom, but Cliff thinks Travis is more concerned about figuring out how to support and protect his son when he can’t really even talk to him.

Chris Hardwick did a great job of really sticking to nice discussion questions about the new show and maintaining a sense of humor. Next week’s guests will be Lindy Greenwood, Lou Diamond Phillips and Kim Dickens.
