Jon Bernthal to star in Marvel’s Punisher spin-off on Netflix

Jon Bernthal will star in the new Marvel spinoff ordered by Netflix, The Punisher, Bernthal’s character from Daredevil season 2.

Fans of The Walking Dead always new Shane could be the star of his own show. Now Jon Bernthal will star on his own show, but not as Shane. Frank Castle, vigilante military veteran from Daredevil, will be the main character of The Punisher.

The Punisher will be the sixth of the Marvel and Netflix shows. The others include Marvel’s Luke Cage, Marvel’s Iron Fist, Marvel’s The Defenders, and Marvel’s Jessica Jones.

Marvel posted an announcement about the series, including quotes from top executives.
