Fear The Walking Dead: Is Alicia the new Maggie Greene?
By Adam Carlson
AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead may have found their answer to struggling character development, as Alicia is channeling her inner Maggie Greene this season.
For a while, Fear The Walking Dead struggled with a big problem. Fans were given this great new show set in the zombie apocalypse in the same universe as The Walking Dead, but had characters that people didn’t seem to get attached to and couldn’t find a way to relate to.

Thankfully, now that the show has put 10 episodes in the books, fans can now relate to some of the characters and have even started to try pairing characters from the show with a counterpart from The Walking Dead. So far, it’s hard to match up some characters with ones from AMC’s flagship show. For example, there hasn’t really been anyone quite like Victor Strand on the program, but there is one comparison that seems evident.
Alicia Clark could very well be the new Maggie Greene.
When Maggie was introduced on The Walking Dead, she was impulsive. She didn’t hide herself away and sought the comfort of relationships, which got everyone in a bit of trouble. Maggie doesn’t seem to mind killing the undead either, attacking them with a purposeful grimace instead of emotional pain.
We see the same things in Alicia Clark. Even the scene on the beach where Alicia smashed zombies with her pipe was reminiscent of Maggie beating up members of the undead at the prison, right down to the clothes they were wearing.
Now, on Fear The Walking Dead, Alicia has been taken captive and it seems as though the group of kidnappers may have bad intentions when it comes to her. Much like when The Governor took Maggie captive back in The Walking Dead‘s third season.
