Fear The Walking Dead is finally figuring it all out
By Adam Carlson
Fans of Fear The Walking Dead are getting rewarded with a show that finally appears to be putting together the formula for success in the zombie apocalypse.
For a while, AMC’s zombie survival companion series seemed to be spinning its wheels. Fans were seemingly having trouble identifying with the characters in the program and have become accustomed to the insane action and massive amount of zombies on the parent show’s sixth season.

But things seem to be turning around for Fear The Walking Dead, as the survivors seem to be figuring out what it takes to survive. Sadly, that meant they had to learn some harsh lessons about zombies, including dealing with the deaths of Chris’ mom and Daniel’s wife among others.
Much of this can be attributed to the show finally getting some solid episodes in a row. Things were slow to pick up during the short 6 episode first season, but now that Fear The Walking Dead is 11 episodes deep, the Los Angeles survivors have adjusted to deal with the undead, and have recently had to deal with the ugly nature of some humans as well.

There is still the problem that some of the characters seem very flat, especially compared to the characters we’ve all grown to love on AMC’s The Walking Dead, but Fear The Walking Dead now has the kind of time available to develop these individuals, much like we’ve seen with Victor Strand recently and how Chris seems to be working the way through his issues.
For many fans, reaching this point in Fear The Walking Dead feels like a reward for being a loyal viewer, but there is also the opportunity for some folks who weren’t as receptive to the show initially to get all caught up and join in what should be an exciting ride going forward.
