The Walking Dead: Tyler James Williams compliments walkers
By Susie Graham
Tyler James Williams had great things to say about the walkers who worked with him on that intense revolving door scene on The Walking Dead when Noah left us.
Tyler James Williams and Michael Traynor answered questions from fans and talked about their time on The Walking Dead in a panel called Revolving Door Brothers at Walker Stalker Con Chicago today. (More on the panel coming soon.)
After the extremely entertaining panel, I was compelled to go and meet Tyler and Michael at their autograph and photo booths. Both were very nice to chat with and I got my selfies, of course.
I talked to Tyler about how spectacular the revolving door was visually even before the horrible events took place. I remember being in my living room alone thinking how impossibly gorgeous it was to have the glass and the stillness of the sections with the characters and the walkers at an impasse.

Tyler agreed and credited director Jen Lynch with really nailing the scene. During the panel, they mentioned that the scene took all day, at least 12 hours to film and Jen Lynch’s name was brought up there as well for “killing it”.
I teased Tyler that I know some of the walkers and I am friends with one of the walkers who ate him. Right away he said how great the walkers were that day. He said they were so professional and they sensed that it was a very heavy and emotional day and responded accordingly.

He also said that they were very attentive to him and checked on him. He said that it was difficult sometimes to get his cues for reacting or screaming because he couldn’t feel the blood spurting because of the squibs; the walkers would give him little pokes to give him cues.
Next: Some thoughts about walkers
He asked me to let them know how great they were. Those of you who know me, know I love the walkers on the screen and I love the hard work that the walkers do. I think people don’t have any clue about what it takes. I like to highlight them whenever I can. The more I find out about them, the more I respect the work they do.
Michael Traynor and Tyler James Williams are a very entertaining duo. I’m glad I decided to stop by and meet them after their panel.
