Two new characters are being teased for The Walking Dead’s seventh season and it sounds as if they could help make the show even more unpredictable.
The Walking Dead always brings something new each season. Whether it is a new environment, new situations, new walkers, new drama, or new faces to the cast. This helps keep the program feeling unique and interesting to viewers.

With season 7 of the hit AMC zombie survival drama just around the corner, it is just about time that fans will have something new to enjoy again. With that, all those familiar faces will clash with the new situations and characters, resulting in more of the fantastic drama fans have grown to love.
Recently, TVLine’s Michael Ausiello published his latest Ask Ausiello column and included two big bombshells in terms of characters who will join The Walking Dead for season 7. Here is what he had to say about the two new additions:
The first is named Naomi. She is described as “a grandmotherly type who, having lost so many loved ones, is now willing to do whatever it takes not to have to bury any more.” At this time, it isn’t known if she will be a part of one of the other communities or a lone survivor, but Ausiello says she will make her debut in episode 6 of season 7.
Next, another character will make their debut in the same episode. This is a female named Jennie who possesses “a sunny-side-up kinda teenager — oh, Caaarl! — who sounds a lot like Beth 2.0, ‘kind, with a world-weary toughness.’”
Odds are that these two characters will be introduced at the same time, with Jennie being a relative or close friend of Naomi. However, that information is not known at this time and is purely speculation.

Since these two characters are not a regular part of The Walking Dead‘s comic book series, novels, or video game universe, they could be very interesting to watch. Hopefully, they are not just two characters being introduced to be fed to the undead and will contribute meaningfully to the story, as both Naomi and Jennie sound like fantastic additions to an already interesting group of characters.
