Highlighting The Walking Dead’s Season 6 Walkers: Carol’s Walker
By Susie Graham
Season 6 of The Walking Dead featured herds of walkers, but there were some that stood out from the herd. Let’s look at some of these. Meet Carol’s Walker.
Carol’s Walker. Alexandria had made its stand against the huge herd that had invaded when the tower fell. About 2 months had passed and things were returning to what was to be considered normalcy or at least a rest.
Carol was making cookies and needed to gather some acorns for her beet and acorn cookies. Of course, she couldn’t just have a nice stroll in the woods. Walkers are always there to remind you that normal isn’t that normal anymore.
Just like the lone walker in the fields was there during Shane and Rick’s drive to illustrate the new landscape of the world, Carol’s Walker was there to remind her (and us) of the cost of gathering supplies for cookies.
You don’t just go to the grocery store and fill your cart or buggie with your ingredients and get to baking, You gather alternate ingredients from the woods and kill a walker along the way that gets blood and guts all over your shirt forcing you to shower and change clothes while the oven is preheating.
Carol’s Walker was beautiful though. A leaning redhead in a sleeveless nightgown. Her eye bulging. We hadn’t seen a lovely night-gown walker like this since Morgan’s wife, Jenny.

This walker was also a tribute walker. Greg Nicotero creates tribute walkers from time to time as homage to the great zombie and horror movies. This walker tipped her hat to Ghost Story from 1981.
Season 6 really had some amazing herds and walkers. There are still a few more to highlight in this series, including another tribute walker.
