Nic and Norman’s to host viewing events for The Walking Dead

The new restaurant in Senoia, Nic & Norman’s, is just getting started. Future plans include viewing events for episodes of The Walking Dead on certain Sunday nights.
Once outfitted with a large projector and TV screens mounted over the bar, Nic & Norman’s will be good-to-go for intimate gatherings of about 100 guests to view episodes of The Walking Dead on Sunday nights during the season.
“We’ll do events here, for sure,” Nicotero told Brandon Davis of Comicbook.Com, “We’ll do the premiere here, we’ll just have to hide anything sharp,.”he teased.
There are no concrete plans in place yet. There are some logistics to work out still. They can’t sell tickets because they are affiliated with AMC, so they will need to figure out a way to get tickets into the hands of fewer than 100 very lucky fans.
We’ll do events here, for sure.
No other big premiere events are scheduled at this time that we know about yet. Last year at Comic-Con the big Madison Square Garden premiere event was announced.
Nicotero plans to attend the Nic and Norman’s event, if his schedule allows. Perhaps other cast members would drop in with him. Who knows? It will be interesting to see how the other viewing parties are handled as far as advanced reservations or things of that nature.
We’ll do the premiere here, we’ll just have to hide anything sharp.
Nic and Norman’s restaurant has been quite popular in its opening month. There have been loads of pictures on social media of fans with food and selfies with some of the cast members who have been there enjoying a burger or a beer.

There was a glitch with an app for figuring out wait times, but the restaurant made an app switch to remedy that. Our Tracey lives nearby and has been there a few times with her family. She ran into Ross Marquand, who remembered her from conventions. Tracey will be writing a review of Nic & Norman’s for us soon.

Season 7 of The Walking Dead returns in October. We will see the trailer Friday and get more information about the new season from San Diego International Comic-Con this weekend.
