Thanks to a long-term deal with AMC, Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick will be around for many years to discuss every new episode of The Walking Dead.

It’s amazing to look back on the career of Chris Hardwick and see just how far he’s come. Beginning with hosting MTV’s dating show Singled Out and through his battles with addiction, he’s become the face of geeks everywhere thanks to The Nerdist.

But it’s more than just that. His love for shows like Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Preacher, and other shows opened the door for him to facilitate post-show discussions based on those programs. On the surface, that sounds boring, but Hardwick brings enthusiasm and fun to every project he tackles.

AMC released a statement today according to ComicBook.com stating that the network has established a three-year deal with Chris Hardwick to continue making programming as well as hosting shows.

"“When we started Talking Dead in 2011 I had no idea it would become one of the most significant experiences of my life. As a fan, having this kind of front row seat to some of the biggest pillars of pop culture has been a dream come true. Thank you to AMC for allowing me to continue to show up for appointment TV therapy with the legions of other fans for the foreseeable future!”"

Joel Stillerman, President of Original Programming and Development for AMC and SundanceTV has absolutely nothing but great things to say about Hardwick and Talking Dead.

"“There is simply nobody better than Chris Hardwick at doing what he does. He’s first and foremost a true fan, and his contagious enthusiasm for AMC content, along with his expertise of all things pop culture, his humor, and his engaging interview style have made him a post-show staple for AMC’s viewers.  We are thrilled to be able to expand our relationship with him in this way.”"
