The Comic Con trailer for season 2B of Fear The Walking Dead is blowing the mind of many fans, but what are some of the things that may have been missed?

Overall, the Comic Con trailer for Fear The Walking Dead‘s second half of season 2 was fantastic. It set a great tone with showing many of the characters we all love, introducing some new ones, keep the walkers as a threat, and establish some challenges for the characters.

In addition to fantastic music and cinematic choices, the trailer showed enough of the characters to remind us about their situations, but not enough to give away too much. AMC’s zombie drama deserves a lot of credit for putting this trailer together, because it well exceeded expectations.

Let’s take a look at what is going on with each character in the Fear The Walking Dead season 2B Comic Con trailer, starting with arguably the most popular character on the show.

Nick Clark

The trailer focuses a lot on Nick. So far, we can assume that he’s been walking for a long time on his own in the horde of walkers. He’s still covered in blood, but by now it is baked onto him from the hot sun. But that doesn’t seem to be stopping Nick, as he walking toward Tijuana, Mexico.

Nick will be alone for long. There are some people with binoculars who watch him as he drops to his knees in exhaustion. Later on, he is shown getting some medical attention and talking to a woman who is warning him about the dangerous people outside the community. But it’s not all gloom and doom for Nick, since the place where he got help is civilized with people playing soccer and being safe in the streets.

Travis and Chris

Things don’t look as good for Chris and Travis. The two seem to be struggling when it comes to supplies and have resorted to looting buildings and cars. Not only that, but Travis also appears to be getting on Chris’ nerves pretty badly since he’s treating him like a child instead of a fellow survivor. But Travis may be right to do so, as it’s not clear if Chris is getting better mentally after losing his mom. In fact, he’s still very bitter about the situation, snipping back at his dad saying that they can’t get everything back.

Madison, Alycia, Ofelia, and Strand

Madison talking to Strand about how she may never see him again. This is a valid concern, as Nick didn’t seem to have any interest in joining them on the truck after the demise of the plantation.

It doesn’t take long for this group to realize they need a place to settle down. They pick a huge hotel and go in there. Boldly, Strand rings the bell at the front desk multiple times, alerting everyone and everything nearby of their presence.

Judging from the rest of this video, the hotel is not safe. Alycia was dangling from an elevator cable and Madison and Strand were surrounded by walkers separated only by a meeting room table.

Things aren’t all bad though. There is a scene in the trailer where Madison is watching a beautiful wedding taking place, so they will be in a somewhat safe place eventually.

Ofelia

Strangely, Ofelia is shown alone battling walkers in a scene that doesn’t look like it is anywhere near the other survivors. Will she venture off on her own? Is she looking for supplies? At this time, there’s no way of knowing, but either way it looks like she may get some time on her own.

Other characters

A community is shown next were many individuals are watching a bus. The bus acts as a bridge to an area with walkers, where the man stands with his arms out and accepts his fate while everyone watched. It’s not known why this was done, but it likely was a punishment or sacrifice of some kind. Either way, it was intense to watch.

It is also not known if these characters will be part of the group that Madison or Nick have joined up with.

Character NOT shown

Not present in this trailer was Daniel Salazar. There is still debate about whether or not the character died in the fire back at the plantation, but having him appear in the trailer could have been a major shock. Still, fans will now have to wait to find out what really happened to Daniel in that wine cellar.
