The Walking Dead: The Saviors meet Rocky
By Susie Graham
During the Comic-Con Panel for Season 7 of The Walkiing Dead, Ross Marquand was asked to do a Harrison Ford impression. He obliged and added a surprise.
Ross Marquand is a phenomenal impressionist. He has done amazing YouTube videos of quick impressions of stars in unique situations that will crack you up.
Whenever he is on Talking Dead, Chris Hardwick will get him to do at least one impression. So when Ross attended Comic-Con this year, it was no surprise that Chris asked Ross for a quick impression.
He requested a quick Harrison Ford. Ross let Chris know he was sick of doing the Harrison Ford impression for him, of course while in his Harrison Ford impression.
The surprise came when Ross let the audience know that two other cast members have specialty impressions. Seth Gilliam does a Robert Deniro and Michael Cudlitz does a Sylvester Stallone.

Now, many people claim to impersonate those two actors so I wasn’t expecting Marquand-quality impressions from Cudlitz, but was I pleasantly surprised. Not only was the impression fantastic, but the bit that they did was hilarious and very appropriate comedy for The Walking Dead.
Apparently, they used their impersonations on set when they were invading the Saviors compound and used Negan’s “half your stuff” concept to create an impromptu bit.
Ross Marquand played boxing trainer Mick (Burgess Meredith) and Cudlitz played Rocky (Sylvester Stallone). Rocky wasn’t too worried about Negan and thought Mick was getting all worked up over nothing.

If you missed this at Comic-Con, you’re in for a treat. If you saw it already, it’s fun to watch again. It’s fun to watch Sonequa Martin-Green and Lauren Cohan as they enjoy the comedy of their castmates as well.
What other scenes from The Walking Dead might it be fun to integrate a little Rocky and MIck?
