The Walking Dead: See how great CGI scenes were made

Take a look at how some of the most iconic scenes in the history of AMC’s The Walking Dead were brought to life using CGI in one interesting video.
For the most part, AMC relies on practical effects for their hit show The Walking Dead. However, there are many scenes where creating huge sets or complicated effects are too time consuming or costly, and the teams have to rely on computer graphics to fill in the gaps.

Some of most iconic scenes in the history of The Walking Dead included instances where quite a bit of CGI was used, but the quality of that work made it seem as though they were practical effects the entire time.
Recently, a video titled CGI VFX Breakdown HD: “CGI VFX Breakdown HD: “The Walking Dead VFX Breakdown by Stargate Studios” showed some of these amazing scenes and the CGI work that went into completing them.

It was surprising seeing how much CGI went into many of these scenes. From Rick Grimes entering Atlanta on a horse to scenes involving death and gore, the combination of real life and computer graphics come together seamlessly to help create a realistic experience for viewers of The Walking Dead.
In fact, this video pointed out some things that weren’t apparent to the naked eye during initial viewing. Small details added into some of the scenes aren’t even noticeable by the average viewer, but enhance the watching experience just by being included.
It is highly recommended that you watch this video multiple times. Each time, you can catch something new and interesting as well as maybe help you look for instances of GCI use in future episodes of AMC’s The Walking Dead.
