The Walking Dead cuts deep with UK DVD promotion

The Walking Dead has given fans some odd promotions in the past, but a new event in the United Kingdom may have brought that intensity to an all new level.
With AMC preparing to release the DVD and Blu-Ray collections for The Walking Dead: The Complete Sixth Season, it isn’t a huge surprise that there are many great promotions and events planned for the release. However, one of those events might not be for the feint of heart.

According to Bleeding Cool, a promotion will be held in conjunction with the United Kingdom release of the DVD set on will be released on September 26, 2016 that may be only for those that don’t get squeamish.
The promotion reportedly will take fans to well-known London butcher Turner & George where they will learn the proper steps in preparing meat to be cooked, including cutting, trimming. and more taking place in approximately two weeks.
Bleeding Cool then shared what appeared to be a quote from a press release, which may have applied better back when the survivors were dealing with the people at Terminus or with The Hunters”

To some, this may seem like an odd attempt to tie in a butcher with the popular AMC zombie drama. However, these skills could translate well into survival type scenarios and although there isn’t a direct connection between enjoying The Walking Dead and cutting meat, any opportunity to include the fantastic program in everyday life is a fantastic thing.
