During the long wait to find out who is Lucille’s victim on The Walking Dead, Melissa McBride’s mom forgot that Carol wasn’t one of the line-up.

We think we have it bad. Just think if you were the relative of one of The Walking Dead actors in the line-up! They can’t even tell their families if they are alive or dead. Non-disclosure agreements are no joke.

We get frustrated when we think the actors and the producers are lying to us or misdirecting us, but in many cases, that’s their job. They have to lie and misdirect. Does anyone remember Steven Yeun’s hilarious shoulder shrug on The Tonight Show about keeping the Glenn secret?

Melissa McBride told Entertainment Weekly that people do, indeed, ask about who Negan killed, but she answers them by reminding them that they really don’t want to know; they want to wait and be surprised.

"They ask, but they don’t try to get me to spill the beans. They ask and it’s a lot of me saying, “If I could tell you, would you really want me to tell you?” And then they’re like, “No. I want to know, but I want to wait. I don’t want to know. I don’t know if I want to know. It’s driving me nuts!”"

Her mother wanted to know so much that she forgot that Carol wasn’t even one of the choices!

"That’s my mother. She’s so funny. She’s like, “I want to know who died!” And then I was talking to her just days ago and she was like, “Did you die?” I’m like, “Mom, I wasn’t in that scene.” She goes, “I just don’t know. Somebody died.”"

Melissa understands the frustration, but she hopes people enjoy the premiere and believes it’s worth the wait. Personally, I hope that once the season starts, the frustration becomes a memory and the season brings a whole new feel and yet a familiarity and renewed enthusiasm for our favorite zombie obsession.

"Oh, I’ve heard it. I’ve heard it all. But, you know, it’s entertaining. It’s compelling and some people like cliffhangers, some people hate them, and that’s just part of the experience. But I hope those people that feel jilted will tune in because the premiere is just going to be… oh God, it’s going to rock the walls. The wait is worth it. Whether you’re angry with it or whether you liked the cliffhanger or whether you’re pissed off about it, the wait is worth it."

Next: Who will Lucille meet?

Bring on the Kingdom, the Hilltop and even Negan. We want to watch our heroes and villains fight and survive in the world of The Walking Dead for many more seasons.
