Fear The Walking Dead: Who died in Do Not Disturb?
Fear The Walking Dead season 2 episode 10 had some close calls and a couple of fake-outs, but who really died in ‘Do Not Disturb’?
The tenth episode of Fear The Walking Dead season follows the journeys of Alicia at the hotel and Chris and Travis on the road. Both settings introduce us to new characters and new challenges. Let’s take a look at who or what we lost in the episode.
Til Death Do Us Part
The episode opens to a flashback of newlywed couple, Jessica and Oscar, at their wedding reception. Many couples get a little anxious about their wedding festivities. Will there be enough food? Will the best man say something inappropriate in his toast? Will that one aunt get a little too tipsy?
But I doubt anyone actually worries about the bride getting her face eaten by the father of the bride! Sure enough, the bride’s dad, Mr. Stowe, experiences a fatal heart attack on the dance floor, As his daughter Jessica tries to resuscitate him, Mr. Stowe reanimates and takes a bite out of the bride’s face.
The hotel manager and her nephew, also a hotel employee, swiftly exit the ballroom, locking the door shut in an effort to control the threat. Meanwhile, guests are left to die.
Look-a-likes
Flash forward to Alicia who is in the hotel tower desperately searching for Ofelia. A group of walkers chases her down the hallway. One of the infected looks suspiciously like Ofelia, with long dark hair and an outfit similar to the last one we saw Ofelia wearing.
The Ofelia look-a-like and her infected friends follow Alicia into an elevator shaft. Alicia grabs the elevator lines but comes close to being fatally grabbed herself by one of the infected. It is here that we officially meet hotel manager, Elena Tobar, who rescues Alicia from her peril.
Elena and Alicia work their way through a host of threats to reach the ground floor where Alicia searches for Madison. She finds look-a-like number 2, one of the infected sporting a plaid shirt and hair cut eerily similar to Madison’s. Alas, as you suspect, much to Alicia’s relief it is not Madison.
Elena and Alicia encounter the surviving (and disgruntled!) members of the wedding party. They demand the hotel keys in exchange for Hector. The exchange is made and the trio soon discovers Strand and Maddie elsewhere in the hotel.
Stranger Danger?
Meanwhile Chris and Travis find a sweet ride, a retro station wagon — think Fear The Walking Dead meets Stranger Things! The father son duo head out to look for shelter, but not before Chris steals some beans from a band of three dudes holed up in a nearby restaurant.
Chris and Travis hit the road with the stolen frijoles but eventually run out of gas. They begin to set up camp when the three dudes approach them. They are Brandon (who reminds me a lot of Aiden from the original The Walking Dead series), Derek, and ‘baby’ James. They ask Chris and Travis to join them as they all set up camp for the evening.
Travis is not keen on the idea, but Chris’s ego is inflated by the three strangers who say how impressed they are with Chris’ ability to take out “the wasted” as they call the infected.
The five of them pile into Brandon’s vehicle the next morning and soon find a farm. At first the farm seems abandoned, but as the four younger guys chase chickens in the barn, they are met with a farmer, presumably Senor Suarez. Senor Suarez points a rifle at them and clearly wants them to leave.
Killer Chris (his new moniker from Brandon) fires at the innocent farmer ending his life. Travis has no words, but his face speaks volumes about his disappointment in Chris.
Final count
1. Senor Suarez
Flashback deaths do not count and the look-a-likes were merely red herrings. So, Senor Suarez is our only death for Fear The Walking Dead S2E10.

I don’t know about you, but I am none too happy with Chris and his new “buds”. Things are going from bad to worse there. It looks like we will see Nick again next week, so we can only wonder what trouble he will get into this time. Who will survive? Until next week . . .
