A new promotional video for The Walking Dead season 7 features Negan, Lucille, and one scene that should raise the eyebrows of fans.

October 23, 2016 continues inch closer as fans of AMC’s The Walking Dead attempt to prepare themselves for the season 7 premiere. While that date is less than 2 months away, there is still a lot of time to think about the big questions for when the show returns.

Of course, the biggest question is still the big cliffhanger ending with Negan smashing in the head of one of Alexandria’s survivors. Fans don’t know for sure who it is, but a new teaser video from AMC has a scene that may or may not eliminate one character from the possible pool of victims.

The promo in question aired during Sunday’s episode of Fear The Walking Dead and circulated the internet for a little bit with little to no commentary on it. At first viewing, it appears as though there was little to no content new to fans in the clip…but a closer viewing shows something very interesting for fans.

If you don’t like potential spoilers, teases, or AMC misdirection, you may want to skip watching this teaser, as a scene could show that one character possibly survived Negan’s lineup. Here is that video from the official AMC Twitter account:

The scene in question happens at 21 seconds. A man suspiciously similar in appearance to Abraham is fighting off walkers while laying on his back. If that is indeed the former sergeant, that means he would have escaped the confrontation with Negan alive.

However, the major debate is whether or not this footage is from an episode or a decoy from AMC to throw fans off. The Walking Dead has been going to extreme lengths to keep people from finding out who Negan killed, so adding false scenes into promos is something that could be very valuable to trick fans into second guessing their instincts if they believe Abraham is facing his last moments on the show.

Otherwise, this promo features Negan and his power. With Lucille by his side, he is asserting his authority and using his group’s manpower and intimidation to make his opposition shiver in fear and bow in respect to The Saviors.

Fans will know for sure who Negan kills on October 23, 2016 when the season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead airs on AMC. For now, it is a lot of fun to speculate on the fate of each character, but not even quick teases in promotional videos can be trusted to eliminate or confirm the death of anyone from Alexandria at this point.
