Lorenzo James Henrie joins Agents of SHIELD for season 4
By Adam Carlson
Fear The Walking Dead actor Lorenzo James Henrie has joined the cast of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a key role during season 4.
AMC is in their second season of Fear The Walking Dead, but that hasn’t stopped Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. from looking at one of the regular cast members for a major role in the next season of their show.
According to ComicBook.com, Lorenzo James Henrie (the actor who plays Chris Manawa) has been tapped to play Gabe Reyes during season 4 of the hit ABC show. A newer character in the Marvel universe, Reyes made his debut in 2014, but has been a very highly discussed part of the Ghost Rider universe.
Gabe Reyes might be a normal human being, but that doesn’t mean he’s unimportant. In fact, his older brother Robbie was tapped as the “All-New Ghost Rider” and Gabe will act as a major motivator for Robbie during Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 4.
ComicBook.com made sure to reinforce the concept of just how important Gabe will be to the story of Ghost Rider on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
"“The relationship between the two characters is one of the most vital pieces of the comic series, and the casting of Gabe was crucial doing the story justice.”"
Meanwhile, fans can still watch him on Fear The Walking Dead and see Lorenzo James Henrie as Chris. While Chris isn’t a popular character, he has definitely been one of the most compelling. Watching Henrie’s work portraying a character going through so much pain and hardship only to struggle to stay mentally strong has been an absolute pleasure to this point.
One of the most important parts of making a show great is casting the right people for important parts. Considering how important it is to nail the casting of both Robbie and Gabe Reyes, ABC and Marvel wanted to make sure they got the right duo for the job.

Gabriel Luna (Wicked City, True Detective) will play Robbie Reyes, and with Lorenzo James Henrie taking on the role of Gabe Reyes, this could be a fantastic pairing for season 4 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and might be a great reason for fans of Fear The Walking Dead to check it out if they don’t already watch.
