Fear the Walking Dead Recap: Episode 211 ‘Pablo and Jessica’

The hotel and the Colonia were the focus of Fear the Walking Dead in this episode. Lots of big infected action and small emotional moments tonight.

Fear the Walking Dead back tracks a tiny bit in the opening to before Alicia found Madison and Strand at the end of last week’s episode after her elevator escapades.

A drunk Madison and Strand had escaped by fighting the infected and covering themselves with guts to get away before they found Alicia. Madison lays down the law with the group in the hotel and tells them how things are out there. She tells them that they are not leaving and they are going to clear the hotel with or without them.

Nick helped Alejandro in his own way by cutting the drugs to make them look like more for the delivery. His logic was they won’t care because they’ll get higher faster. NIck is pleased with how the drugs turn out; he says they’ll never know the difference.

Alejandro tells NIck the story of a kid he who tried to steal from Alejandro. He got high on something. He was mistaken for an infected. Alejandro rushed in and tried to save him. He was bitten. Luciana brought him back to the Colonia. He waited for death to come, but he just healed. Nick touched his wound like doubting Thomas.

Alejandro asked Nick to be careful. While Nick and Luciana play a little soccer with the kids, Luciana gets news that her brother Pablo is dead. Luciana accompanies Nick on the delivery and they talk. NIck hugs her.

Madison and Alicia had a heart to heart about how Alicia had to do so much on her own before things fell apart. Alicia is finding herself more forgiving now and lets her mother know she loves her and doesn’t want to lose her and she didn’t do anything wrong.

Alejandro moved Nick into a little dorm room because he needed his bed in the infirmary. NIck says he doesn’t need so much, but Alejandro says he’s given the Colonia a gift of time by what he did with the pills.

Alicia comes up with a plan to herd the infected onto the pier and lead them into the riptide. The group and even new people work together to make this elaborate plan work and the hotel is cleared except for one.

A soft talking and weeping Victor talks to the husband of Jessica and lets him know that he understands how he feels. He volunteers to do the job of putting her down for him.

Nick and Luciana have a chat in his new room. Nick is reading a Spanish dictionary to learn some words so he can start communicating with more people. He mentions his family, which surprises Luciana because he seems to be so alone and only concerned with here and now. Before she leaves they kiss.
