Chris and Travis gave fans of Fear the Walking Dead a big scene to talk about during episode 213 of the series titled ‘Date of Death’ on AMC.

Fear The Walking Dead turned down the danger of the undead in episode 213, but raised the bar when it comes to family drama and appreciating life. Sadly, not all the characters on the program had the same appreciation for the living as Travis.

That became woefully apparent when the group of boys that Chris and Travis met revealed their pact with each other. With Baby James suffering after being shot the leg, the young men and the former schoolteacher went to battle about what to do with James.

When Chris comes to talk to Travis, it looks like he may be understanding what Travis is trying to tell him. But that wasn’t the situation at all.

Here is the talked about scene from Sunday’s episode as shared by AMC on YouTube:

For Chris to trick his own father into a hug only to take him to the ground is a real jerk move. The boys had Travis outnumbered, and knowing that Travis isn’t a violent man could have made it very easy for them to do what they wanted without using the man’s own flesh and blood against him.

The impatience of these boys was alarming. Not only were they not willing to wait for their friend to get better, but they just assumed that his condition would not improve and had no problem putting him out of his misery right in front of Travis.

Interestingly enough, this wasn’t the scene exactly as shown on television. In the clip above, the killshot to Baby James was shown instead of the quick change to Travis’ face. While that might be better for the AMC YouTube account, it takes away a little of the punch from the scene.
