A new sneak peek video for season 7 of The Walking Dead focuses on the relationship between Negan and Rick Grimes, and their need for a ‘right hand man’.

The world of The Walking Dead will never be the same now that they have met Negan. Fans already know that the leader of The Saviors will take away one of the characters that we’ve grown to love over the years, but the impact Negan will make will extend far past that situation.

Of course, all eyes are looking toward the October 23, 2016 season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead. The episode is destined to be one of the most emotionally crushing in the history of the series and anticipation has been building toward it since the big cliffhanger on April 3, 2016.

AMC recently released a new sneak peek video for the episode titled ‘Right Hand Man’ on their official YouTube account and it adds to the power of the big cliffhanger.

Here is the new promo:

The good thing about this video is that Rick can officially be eliminated from the list of characters who may have been getting their brains bashed in at the end of The Walking Dead’s season 6 finale. However, the leader of Alexandria may still need to be broken down more, as he still looked Negan in the face and told him that he will kill him.

A big blood stain of the right side of Rick’s face may be a big hint as to who the victim was, but knowing how The Walking Dead likes to mess with the minds of people, it’s hard to read too much into that fact.

But the big question is what Negan is going to do to Rick in the trailer. With all the talk about a ‘right hand man’, it’s hard not to think that the leader of The Saviors could be removing his hand to match the version of Mr. Grimes in the comic book series, but we will see what happens to Rick and the others in the lineup during the season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead on October 23, 2016.
