As we look to season 7 of The Walking Dead and Winnie the Pooh celebrates his 90th anniversary, what could these two things have in common?

WInnie the Pooh and zombies. The two couldn’t be further apart, could they? Well, let’s see. We always hear people say that The Walking Dead isn’t about the zombies, it’s about the people.

Winnie the Pooh isn’t about animals, it’s about the relationships. Bingo. There might be a connection.

Today is the 90th anniversary of Winnie the Pooh. Next week we start season 7 of The Walking Dead. I posted some Winnie the Pooh quotes on our Twitter and asked followers to respond with characters or situations that the quote reminded them of from The Walking Dead.

It was interesting to see the variety of responses and the things I thought of when I read the quotes. I bet you’ll have ideas of your own when you read the Winnie the Pooh quotes with The Walking Dead binoculars.

You’re braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. ~Pooh

I immediately thought of Denise, Eugene, Father Gabriel some of the people considered weaker characters. Maybe Olivia would need to hear this or some of the Alexandrians. But even Carol needs this message. Carol from the quarry and Carol who is headed for healing in The Kingdom.

Perhaps everyone in the world needs this message. Maybe that’s why Pooh has been around for 90 years.

Some people care too much, I think it’s called love.

I thought of Carol. It’s the reason she had to leave Alexandria. It’s what she wrote in her letter. She knew she’d have to kill if she stayed because she’d continue to love and you have to kill in this world when you love.

Piglet: How do you spell love?

Pooh: You don’t spell it. You feel it.

I thought of Abraham and Daryl. Both characters feel love but don’t know how to express it in words. They express it through actions and in words that often don’t say what the letters spell.

If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever.

Take your pick of any death or future death.

It’s pretty amazing how the quotes can apply to almost any of the situations and characters from The Walking Dead and likely the people and situations in your life, too.

Here are a few parting Pooh quotes for you to consider on your own for Pooh’s 90th as they relate to your life or The Walking Dead. Happy 90th, Pooh!
