The Walking Dead: Road To Survival reached a major milestone, as the hit mobile game from Scopely, Skybound, and Image Comics reached 25 million downloads.
If you’re a fan of The Walking Dead, odds are that you’ve seen the large amount of games devoted to the hit zombie survival property. While some are based on the comic books, television show, or unique properties, they all try to capture the feel the franchise gives fans.
One of the most popular games is based in the comic book world. The Walking Dead: Road To Survival is a game by Scopely which takes characters from the comic book world, interjects some original characters, and makes players form butt kicking units based on those characters skills, special abilities, and varying levels of power.
It has been almost a year since the game was introduced in the Google Play and Apple Store for free, but the game has now been downloaded an astounding 25 million times. This is a great success for the mobile game, which boasts simple turn based RPG style game mechanics with the need for complex strategies for success at higher levels.

For a game with no ties to the hit AMC television show or little advertising compared to The Walking Dead titles like No Man’s Land or Fear The Walking Dead: Dead Run, this is a great milestone and one that should be celebrated by both Scopely and zombie fans around the world.
If you haven’t already played this game, it is highly recommended that you give it a try. On a personal note, I’m addicted to this game and currently am level 73 with some pretty powerful characters on the Jefferson server. With constantly rotating challenges, the game never seems to lose its appeal.
Next: Faction Territories coming soon to Road To Survival
Hopefully, Scopely and The Walking Dead can continue this great partnership and continue with this entertaining freemium game for fans to enjoy for a long, long time. Congratulations to Road To Survival on 25 million downloads and hopefully many million more.
