Whose brains would cast members of AMC’s The Walking Dead want to eat if they were zombies and why? Find out some of the funny and interesting answers!

There was a time, a long, long time before The Walking Dead, when zombies weren’t always interested in eating flesh or any body part they could get their mouths around. Back in the day, they had a particular taste for brains that made their plight even more challenging.

While the walkers on the hit AMC show don’t have a preference of meals, The Onion’s AV Club recently attended Walker Stalker Con in Chicago and spoke with some of the cast members from the program about whose brains they’d eat if they became a member of the living dead.

What was more interesting than the answers from these actors was the reasoning behind their decisions.

There were two very popular answers. One of those answers  belonged to two cast members who played part of the Anderson family, who went right for the leader of the group, Rick Grimes. Both Alexandra Breckenridge (Jessie) and Corey Brill (Pete) would like to devour the brains of the Ricktator, but for different reasons.

Intelligence was a factor in the decisions of some actors. Alanna Masterson (Tara), Jason Douglas (Tobin) and Katelyn Nacon (Enid) chose to eat Eugene Porter in hopes that some of his knowledge and intelligence would be absorbed through the digestion, or just be a good source of protein.

Meanwhile, Andrew J. West ( who played Gareth) said he’d just keep eating Bob, Seth Gilliam (Gabriel) wants to eat Spencer, and Alicia Witt has a very well thought out and elaborate way to get revenge on Carol for her character Paula’s death.

The most off the wall answer came from the man who plays Eugene Porter, Josh McDermitt. His answer of Judith Grimes was likely the most disturbingly funny of the group, siting that veal is a popular meat and baby brains probably have a better taste.
