‘Getting The Message’: The Walking Dead 704 talked about scene

Negan had the people in Alexandria scared during The Walking Dead 704 ‘Service’, but Rick wanted to make sure Michonne was ‘Getting The Message’.
The Walking Dead has everyone scared for the future of Alexandria. With the community under the rule of Negan and The Saviors, Rick struggled to feel like a leader and the people underneath him were left wondering what was next for their home now that they have given away all their guns, mattresses, and more.
One of the most powerful scenes of the program came near the end, when Rick spotted Michonne, who was hiding a gun and a deer in a burnt house near Alexandria. This situation sent Rick into a frenzy of fear, as he explained to Michonne.

Rick asks Negan for a moment to talk to Michonne. He goes to her and explains why he’s holding Lucille and the he knows what she is doing outside the walls of the town practicing her shooting with the gun from The Saviors.

He tells her that they need to give up all their guns to them. Michonne tells Rick that they don’t know about this gun, but he says that if they were to keep a gun, Negan would kill someone on the spot if he found out.
Michonne was upset until Rick explained that he didn’t want to lose her or Carl or someone else because of it.
The scene cut to Michonne leaving the burnt house with the dead deer over her shoulder and Rick behind her with the gun.
Rick explained that the gun was never inventoried, but handed it over to a pleased Negan, who also decided The Saviors would be taking that deer off their hands.

While Rick was “reading the room” and “getting the message”, other members of the community aren’t as eager to comply with everything Negan and The Saviors are doing. It will be interesting to watch this story develop as The Walking Dead continues on AMC.
