It’s time to recount the losses in The Walking Dead episode ‘Go Getters’. Who or what did we lose in 7.05?

First, let’s take a moment to let out a big sigh of relief for someone who did NOT die.  That’s right, baby Rhee is safe in Maggie’s womb. Dr. Carson of Hilltop had to treat Maggie’s placental abruption but as long as she takes it easy, she and the baby should be just fine.

Maggie, take it easy? Not likely, but I do believe she will take the necessary precautions to safely bring the baby into this world.

Sadly, we did revisit the deaths of Glenn and Abraham as Maggie and Sasha attend to their graves, graves that were dug much to the dismay of ol’ Gregory.

He proclaims that they burn their dead.  Oh well, G — our beloved Glenn and Abraham are staying buried.

Let’s take a look at who or what we lost in tonight’s episode of The Walking Dead.  A little hint, it’s more what than who.

A nasty little Gremlin

Negan’s Saviors build a musical fortress from an old Gremlin model car.  Classical music blasts from the vehicle, but Sasha and Jesus are unable to turn off the music.  The Saviors have locked down the car with metal grates making the interior impenetrable. The noise is drawing walkers into the Hilltop Colony through their open gates.

Sasha and NinJesus (get it? a mashup of ninja and Jesus – yes, I am easily amused) battle the walkers one by one, Sasha with her knife and NinJesus with some smooth moves and swift kicks. Still, they just keep coming as the music blares.

But leave it to the farmer’s daughter to use a tractor with finesse.  Maggie rolls over the Gremlin with one of Hilltop’s large tractors, completely squashing the car and putting an end to the music.

Maggie 1, Gremlin 0.

[Car]rrrl goes for a drive

Enid is on a solo mission to find Maggie at Hilltop. Carl tells her he will not continue to save her. Enid has a close encounter with a walker and things look dicey.  Suddenly a mystery car appears running down the walker, saving Enid.

The driver is Carl and the driving is bad. His rescue of Enid leaves the car inoperable and the two leave on foot.

But for one car lost, two pairs of roller skates are found.  Carl and Enid roll away together, for a while, until they part ways.

Sketchy Simon takes Gregory’s painting

During Maggie’s first visit to Hilltop in The Walking Dead season 6, Gregory brags about the painting in his office, claiming that it is now his after years of admiration.

Negan’s right hand man, Simon, arrives at Hilltop to deliver a few messages to Gregory and abscond with some of Hilltop’s belongings. One of those items is the painting in Gregory’s office. It strikes a blow to Gregory’s ego, message delivered.

Carl

No, Carl does not die in the episode.  But he does go missing for awhile.  After parting ways with Enid, we are not quite sure where he is going.  I hear faint whispers from ghost Lori, “Where’s Carl?”

It turns out that he and NinJesus both had the idea of sneaking into the back of one of the Saviors’ trucks to hitch a ride to Negan’s home base. I have to admit that seeing NinJesus discover Carl in the truck brought a big smile to my face.  They make an interesting pair and I look forward to seeing them execute their mission.

Final Count, 0

Thankfully, nobody actually died in ‘Go Getters’.  A few things went bye-bye, but no people were lost (at least not permanently, ahem, Carl).
