Telltale Games made a big announcement that fans of The Walking Dead will be able to carry over their previous game information into ‘A New Frontier’.

Gamers who played through the Telltale games based on The Walking Dead to this point have been wondering how the game will move forward based on the branching stories fans were left with at the end of Season 2.

Thankfully, it looks like Telltale Games have not only addressed this issue, but given fans several ways to ensure that they get to play the story just like they left it with Clementine and the other survivors heading into the new game.

According to the official Telltale website, there will now be a cloud based method for saving the choices you’ve made in previous games to carry them over A New Frontier coming out on December 20, 2016.

Players can go back and save their saved games to the cloud and use that information to change how the story will be presented to them on The Walking Dead: A New Frontier. Also, there is no limitation as to the systems the saves will work on. For example, an Xbox 360 user could save their game to the cloud and use that data on the new game to be played on the PlayStation 4.

For those who don’t have their old consoles or access to their saved games anymore, there is an option to start a new game by answering a series of questions about the choices you made in previous games. Based on your answers, you will start the game with one of 42 different situations.

Finally, players starting new with The Walking Dead: A New Frontier can always start the game without any of this and have a clean slate in the zombie apocalypse if they choose.
