Minnesota State Patrol suggested The Walking Dead for New Year’s partiers
By Adam Carlson
The Minnesota State Patrol had a great recommendation for a New Year’s Eve activity, encouraging people to stay home and watch The Walking Dead on AMC.
While The Walking Dead was running a marathon on AMC, many fans of the show were out at bars and clubs celebrating the end of 2016. Hopefully, those individuals partying got home safe with Uber, Lyft, a taxi, or a designated driver.
But the Minnesota State Patrol brought another topic to attention when it comes to those consuming alcohol that night. They made sure to let followers on their Facebook account know that there is another dangerous time to be driving.
Here is the post from the official Facebook page of the Minnesota State Patrol explaining the situation and giving a suggestion for alternate activity.
The Patrol make a great point. While much focus is placed on getting home safe from the bar, club, or party, not much is spoken about those driving on the morning after. This is a great tip for drinkers around the word, and applies to every situation where drinking high to moderate levels of alcohol is involved.
The fun part of the post is where they suggested the potential driver have a seat in front of the TV to watch AMC’s The Walking Dead, which ran a marathon of episodes from season 4B up to 7A over the New Year’s period.
Having the Minnesota State Patrol share a great message with a fun twist shows they care, but also have fun. Plus, any chance to name drop a great show like The Walking Dead is fun!
