The Walking Dead: War contributions from each community of survivors
By Sonya Iryna
Hilltop
Hilltop’s greatest contribution to the upcoming war right now is anonymity. Negan doesn’t know that Maggie is alive. He doesn’t know Sasha is at Hilltop. And he doesn’t know what a capable fighter Jesus is. If Gregory remains the figurehead leader of Hilltop and deals with the Saviors it gives the alliance a huge advantage. But, Gregory might not be willing to keep hiding Maggie, Sasha and now Daryl at Hilltop.
In addition Hilltop has supplies that the Alexandrians need. Food, weapon making materials, and other essentials are in short supply at Alexandria now that Negan is demanding half of their supplies. Hilltop can contribute the things that Alexandria needs to allow planning to move forward.
Hilltop also has Jesus. Jesus is a strong fighter and he is great at reconnaissance. He can move around easily without being seen and can gather intelligence Rick and the others need. He and Maggie and Sasha can also train some of the stronger members of Hilltop to fight.
Hilltop has some weapons. But the weapons they have are mostly spears and close combat handmade weapons. The group still needs guns, but those weapons that the people of Hilltop have made will be valuable too.
Dr. Carson is another big asset. The doctor can provide medical care and he can train some of the members of the community to act as field medics. Since the alliance doesn’t have a lot of people to spare having access to emergency medical care is going to be very important.
Hilltop’s contributions to the fight:
- Secrecy
- Medical care and field medics
- Weapons
- Fighters
- Surveillance and intelligence gathering
- Scavenging
- Food and essential supplies
