Oceanside

Oceanside could be the game changer for the alliance, if Tara breaks her promise. She may not tell Rick and the others about Oceanside. But, when she sees what they’re up against she may tell them.

If Tara tells them about Oceanside and Rick or Tara can convince them to fight they could give the win to the alliance. Negan and the Saviors have no idea Oceanside exists. So Oceanside could be used to hide weapons, people, or anything else they don’t want the Saviors to know about.

Oceanside has some strong fighters. They are organized and well-trained. And they have a massive armory. Rick and the others desperately need guns and ammunition for this fight.

They may be able to find some by scavenging, but scavenging won’t give them all the guns they need. Oceanside could supply enough weapons for the alliance to have a fighting chance against the exceptionally well prepared Saviors.

Oceanside also has a steady supply of fresh protein in the fish they catch. Protein is in short supply in all the colonies so that could benefit all of the groups in the alliance.

But it would be a hard sell to get Oceanside to commit to the fight. Rick gives great speeches and Tara already has a relationship with the women of Oceanside.

But that might not be enough to convince them to take on Negan and the Saviors with the alliance. Right now the Saviors don’t even know about them and they might not want to take the risk of ending up on the radar if the alliance loses.

Oceanside’s potential contribution to the fight:

  • Lots of weapons
  • Ammunition
  • Fighters
  • Food
  • Secrecy
  • Surprise
