Mishel Prada and Kelsey Scott play Gabi and Sierra on Fear The Walking Dead‘s episodic commercial series Passage. They opened up about their characters and filming the series in our exclusive interview.
Fear The Walking Dead Passage airs in 50 second commercial segments during The Walking Dead on AMC. There have been 8 episodes of The Walking Dead season 7, so that means there have been 8 installments of Fear The Walking Dead Passage as well.
The short format series gives viewers an up close view of survivors Gabi (played by Mishel Prada) and Sierra (portrayed by Kelsey Scott).
Gabi is the more naive of the two in regard to battling the infected. She is clearly looking for some support on her journey. She has an injured (not bitten!) ankle and is looking to Sierra for help.
Sierra is competent at taking down zombies from within the confines of a mysterious hazmat suit. She is reluctant to partner with Gabi on her journey. Gabi tells Sierra that she knows a place, a safe place. Sierra finally agrees to go with Gabi but certainly not because she “needs” any help.
As the two women journey to the border tunnel, they begin to open up a little bit about losses they have both recently faced. Gabi receives a little zombie slaying training as well. As they approach their destination, Sierra forces Gabi to defend herself against an oncoming walker. But before she can do the deed, a shot is fired taking out the zombie.
Sierra and Gabi discover that it was Colton (played by Mike Mosley), Gabi’s boyfriend, that fired the shot and that he appears to have been there all along. Wait, wasn’t he supposed to be coming back for her? Hmmm….
Kelsey summed up Colton quite well in our interview, in my opinion, saying:
“So far, he’s a little seedy.”
What transpires next involves a stab wound, unclear loyalties, and a nasty little tripwire!
