Carol

Carol needs to return to the group. They need her skills. And it’s difficult to watch such a beloved character struggling. It’s hard to believe that Carol doesn’t even know yet about Abe and Glenn. She doesn’t know what happened to Daryl either.

Will finding out snap her out of the funk that she’s in? Hopefully. It’s understandable why she’s struggling with the necessity of killing. When she and Maggie were captured and she had to kill the Savior women it was something that really affected her.

Carol has been the rock of the group for many seasons now. She’s been the one getting things done and doing the killing without thinking about it while the others were focused on other things.

She could have lost all her humanity and become a robotic killer. But she didn’t. The weight of the losses the group had had and the guilt of killing is weighing heavy on her.

But she’s had some time now to take a break and find her way again. She’s been able to make peace with Morgan. She’s got a new friend in King Ezekiel.

She may not want to put down roots at the Kingdom but her family at Alexandria need her. More than ever her determination and skills are needed.

Carol is the ultimate survivor. The years of domestic abuse she suffered from Ed have equipped her to handle the chaos and surreality of the new world better than most. It’s time for the capable and tenacious Carol to come back to her family.
