2. Surround yourself with the best people you know.

This has something of a double meaning: One, that you should surround yourself with good people, but the other is that you should surround yourself with the most skilled people you know.

You may not realize this, but, you and your friends may each possess pretty damned good survival skills. Do you have any friends who are doctors, nurses, or EMTs? What about police officers or military veterans? Pilots? Mechanics? Electricians? Martial artists? Hunters?

All of these skills can prove to be very vital to surviving a zombie apocalypse. Furthermore, if they’re friends of yours, together, you can form the core of a very good group of survivors. Having people you know and trust beside you with these skills puts you ahead of everyone who has neither.
