The title and synopsis for The Walking Dead episode 709 are finally here!

The Walking Dead Season 7B is getting closer. AMC released the title and synopsis for episode 9 and it looks like the second half of the season is starting out strong.
The countdown is on to The Walking Dead Season 7B. Today another piece of the puzzle fell into place. AMC has released the official title and synopsis for episode 9. The episode is called “Rock in the Road”. The synopsis is cryptic, as usual, but says that Rick will be meeting members of a new community.
That could mean that Rick will meet the person who was spying on him and Aaron at the end of the midseason finale. The person with the worn boots and binoculars almost certainly belongs to the community Rick is seen talking with in promo photos released earlier.
Will that community to be friendly to the survivors? Or will they end up betraying the group to Negan and the Saviors in order to protect themselves? If the synopsis is referring to this new group it will be clear pretty quickly which side they are on.
Now that Rick and the group have decided they have to go on the offensive against Negan the second half of Season 7 should start ramping up pretty quickly after the midseason premiere. It’s very likely that most of the rest of Season 7 will be the survivors preparing for war. By the season finale the war should start. And it will probably carry over into Season 8.
The war against the Saviors isn’t going to be a short one and it’s probably going to come with some losses for the survivors. They’ve never battled such a large and organized force before. Their love and commitment to each other is stronger than ever. But in this world that’s not always enough to prevent tragedy or loss.
What Is The New Community?
Not much has been revealed about the new community. The promo photos show Rick talking to several members of that new community in a setting that looks like a junkyard. So it’s safe to assume that they have created some kind of safety zone for themselves using salvaged materials. A place that has a lot of salvage and scrap materials could be very useful to the survivors.
Rick and the group are going to have to create weapons from scratch. And they’re going to need weapons that can take out a large number of people. A junkyard would have a lot of things that they could use to set traps and make large-scale weapons like bombs.
But they will only be able to do that is the new group is friendly and if Rick can convince them to join the fight against Negan. Rick can give some great speeches. But with the threat of Negan’s violence hanging over them the new group may not want to help Rick.

According to the title and synopsis just released by AMC fans won’t have to wait to find out who this new community is and if they are going to be on Team Rick. The Walking Dead Season 7 returns on Sunday, February 12th.
