Will Kingdom Join The Fight?

In The Walking Dead midseason finale it was teased that Rick will be meeting King Ezekiel in the midseason premiere. It looks like that is going to happen. But will Ezekiel want to take the risk of joining Rick?

There’s a lot at stake for King Ezekiel when it comes to joining the survivors. So far the Kingdom and the Saviors have managed to interact without any serious bloodshed. Ezekiel delivers food to the Saviors and they stay out of the Kingdom.

If Rick is able to convince Ezekiel to join the fight he will have to tell the residents of Kingdom about the Saviors. Since they have had a pretty peaceful existence so far they might not want to enter the battle.

But Richard is right that the Kingdom won’t be safe forever. Hopefully he can convince Ezekiel that the best chance for Kingdom to survive is to join Rick and fight Negan and the Saviors. But Rick isn’t going to have to convince just Ezekiel. He will also have to convince Carol and Morgan that they will need to fight.

Once Rick brings Daryl to Kingdom Ezekiel may not have a choice about joining the fight. Rick is putting Kingdom at risk just by going there. But having Ezekiel, Shiva, and the fighters of the Kingdom on his team will be a game changer for Rick in the war to come.
