Epic The Walking Dead commercial during the Super Bowl
By Susie Graham
The Super Bowl is known for great commercials. The Walking Dead fans got a huge treat tonight with commercial for the return of the show next week.
Fans of The Walking Dead got a big surprise while watching the Super Bowl as a commercial aired that looked like something related to football when all of a sudden…Lucille. I don’t know what people thought who don’t know who Lucille is, but The Walking Dead fans likely went nuts! Twitter went crazy!
We know Rick and the gang return next Sunday and we are ready! We didn’t need to hear Rick’s voice or Negan’s voice or see anything else. The simplicity of the commercial is what made it epic.
In case you were watching the Zombie Bowl over on AMC or doing something else or just want another adrenaline rush, push play on the 15 second commercial below from AMC’s Tweet:
More from Undead Walking

The Super Bowl marks the end of the NFL football season. As football season ends, we can start baseball season a little early. No, not official spring training for major league baseball, zombie apocalypse baseball season. Negan’s barbed-wire batting practice. We just don’t want Lucille to practice on anyone we love. I like the idea of smashing footballs!
The Walking Dead returns next Sunday, February 12th to continue season 7 with episode 709 entitled “Rock in the Road”. At the end of the midseason finale, most of the group was reunited and they were preparing to fight back against Negan and the Saviors.
The road to all out war against the Saviors will be a tough one. We will need to enlist the help of Hilltop and the Kingdom and perhaps people we haven’t even met yet. If the synopsis is any indication, we will meet new people next Sunday.
Football season is over! Sundays belong to the dead!
