Episode descriptions from The Walking Dead 709: ‘Rock in the Road’

What can be learned by looking at the episode descriptions from different sources for episode 709, the season 7 midseason premiere of The Walking Dead.

It is almost here. The long wait during the midseason break of The Walking Dead season 7 is almost over and the hit AMC show is ready to return to television sets on Sunday, February 12, 2017.

To prepare for the return, a glimpse at the way the different sources list their episode descriptions is always fun. Let’s grab a peek at three different sources, one official, one on the internet, and one from a television provider.

Here is the information shared on the official AMC website regarding the episode description:

"“Rick is introduced to a new community.”"

There isn’t much to go on here, but there is quite a bit more info when it comes to the Wikipedia description:

"“Rick and the group are led to a new community where they are introduced to its inhabitants and ruler. A familiar face resurfaces.”"

And finally, to complete the trifecta, here is the synopsis from the Charter Spectrum television guide:

"“Rick and the others are led to a new community, where they meet the residents and their ruler; a familiar face resurfaces.”"

While it is still odd that these three sources all have different descriptions of episode 709, it is refreshing that they are consistent.

From these descriptions, it can be assumed that they are talking about Rick and the people from Alexandria meeting up with King Ezekiel and the folks from The Kingdom. That was teased in the sneak peek at the midseason finale. However, could it be ANOTHER new group that is introduced as well?

As far as the ‘familiar face’, that could be either Morgan Jones or Carol. Or it could be a surprise blast from the past, we’ll never know until the episode airs.

Right now, you don’t need to be told not to miss the midseason premiere of The Walking Dead on Sunday, February 12, 2017. “Rock in the Road” will be essential in putting together an army to fight back against The Saviors, and seeing that revenge could be very sweet!
