Michonne and Rick Grimes teamed up to have one of the most amazing death scenes in the history of AMC’s zombie survival drama The Walking Dead.

In the midseason premiere of The Walking Dead, Rick Grimes and his group campaigning hard against the Saviors. They approach the Hilltop and the Kingdom with the hope they can combine efforts to put a stop to this ruthless reign of Negan and the Saviors.

A key lesson to take away from this evening’s episode is that very few things are as simple as they appear to be. As Rick and fellow group members quickly found out, the cars blocking their path were just another explosive trap set by Negan’s group to redirect a zombie herd.

Leaving when the walkers got close would have been too easy and disappointing for fans. Instead we watch as our favorite characters painstakingly remove dynamite and C4 as the ever-present walker herd draws closer.

In the true The Walking Dead fashion there is never enough time to escape and your life is always hanging in the balance.

These two things each and every time provide the viewing audience the best kills during an episode. This combination forces our characters to hurry which is where mistakes are made and in turn walkers die. (At least we hope it is a walker and not a beloved character.)

Who needs a katana, colt 45 or a machete? Just give Rick and Michonne a little barbed wire and a couple of cars and they can go bowling The Walking Dead way. Hands down tonight’s best kill and grossest goes to the amazing scene using two cars and a cable to slice through a huge group of the undead.

Way to work as a team to “Barb”-b- cue a few dozen walkers on the highway!

Tonight was a little thin on the walker killing side but with the kill we did have it gave new meaning to the phrase road kill. Hopefully, next week brings a little more up close and personal gruesome kills.
