#3. Can Richard and Daryl get through to King Ezekiel?
Daryl hasn’t made a great impression on King Ezekiel and the people of The Kingdom. Upon arriving at the location, he called meeting with the king a waste of time and then insulted Ezekiel when offered a safe haven.
Ultimately, Daryl did stay with The Kingdom because The Saviors won’t find him there. Rick also said that he can talk to Ezekiel to hopefully change his mind about donating weapons and personnel to the war against Negan’s men.
The big difference maker here could be Richard, who has already given passionate speeches about why Ezekiel must stand up to The Saviors. If he can partner with Daryl and give a convincing argument as to why war is necessary, the two could get the king’s approval.
Or there is also the chance that the situation between The Saviors and The Kingdom could escalate. If conditions get worse of Negan breaks the trust of Ezekiel and enters The Kingdom, there may be no choice for The Kingdom other than to join in the fight.
