#4. How long can Gregory stay in power?
People from The Hilltop have been losing faith in Gregory for quite a while. After Jesus was vocal about his displeasure for Gregory’s leadership, the problem of finding a uniting voice to keep the community together is a major issue.
Enid was able to rally the people around Maggie even though Rick’s talk with Gregory failed to get results. Maggie said the right things to get the community behind her, which will do nothing only to rile up Gregory even more.
It only seems like a matter of time before Gregory is forced to either step down or is removed from power. But the question comes up of who will step up to take over when Gregory is eventually forced out.
Naming a new leader for The Hilltop will be something that needs to be worked out in the future though. For now, Gregory will need to either change his ways as a leader or prepare for his eventual overthrowing.
