Get all caught up for Sunday, February 19, 2017 when The Walking Dead returns for episode 710 ‘New Best Friends’ by looking at what happened last week.

‘New Best Friends’ is the title of the next episode of AMC’s The Walking Dead, but before it airs on Sunday, February 19, 2017, let’s take a look at what should be known going into episode 710 by diving into the past.

Of course, Alexandria, The Hilltop, and The Kingdom are all being extorted by The Saviors. Negan has control over everyone in the area using a combination of brutality, humor, charisma, and threats to keep everyone in line.

Through the first half of season 7, Rick Grimes lived in fear of Negan. However, by the end of the midseason finale, he had found the will to fight, However, the losses have piled up for Alexandria in that time. Glenn, Abraham, Spencer, and Olivia all died in that time and Rick didn’t want that to happen to anyone else on his watch.

Last week, Rick brought his displeasure of The Saviors methods to The Hilltop and The Kingdom. While both leaders denied him any soldiers or weapons, he didn’t leave either of them without help.

Gregory wanted to deny even knowing about Alexandria’s existence, but a grass-roots campaign by Enid had the people of The Hilltop rallying around Maggie and willing to fight against Negan and The Saviors.

At The Kingdom, Ezekiel gave heavy thought to helping, but in the end wanted to ensure the safety of his people for the time being. However, he did offer for Daryl to hide out in the community since he is on the run after killing Fat Joey and escaping The Sanctuary.

On their way home. they found one of the explosive traps Fat Joey designed to keep walkers from The Sanctuary. Rosita was able to defuse the trap and allow Alexandria to take the dynamite for their own purposes later on.

Simon got to meet Rick, but it definitely wasn’t a pleasure visit. The Saviors turned Alexandria upside down looking for Daryl, but were unable to find him since he’s at The Kingdom. However, Simon said that if they ever found Daryl in Alexandria, he would be a dead man.

The episode ended with Rick, Rosita, Aaron, Michonne, and Tara trying to figure out what happened with Father Gabriel and the missing supplies from Alexandria. Following some clues left by Gabriel, the group found a new batch of survivors who appear to be armed and organized.

It appears as though next week’s episode will focus on this new group of survivors as well as the situation at The Kingdom. Don’t miss The Walking Dead 610 titled ‘New Best Friends’ when it airs on Sunday, February 19, 2017 on AMC.
