Walking Dead S07E10 Preview: ‘New Best Friends’

Rick Grimes and gang get surrounded by a new band of misfits on this week’s The Walking Dead. Will they join them in the struggle against Negan’s saviors?
Rick and team Alexandria were rebuffed last week as they attempted to sway King Ezekiel to lend his people in the fight against Negan. Ezekiel however, did offer to take Daryl in as an honorary member of The Kingdom for as long as he wants.
Rick convinced Daryl to stay, claiming it ‘the best play’ based on Ezekiel rejoicing in the fact saviors have never stepped foot into The Kingdom’s walls. Now Rick Grimes’ crew finds themselves surrounded by an entirely new unknown group and they’re not exactly friendly. Our final image last episode was of a smiling Rick, likely at the realization of the numbers and weapons being aimed at them.
In Rick’s mind, this group are potential clients to be recruited, untapped talent. They might have other plans that don’t coincide with rebellion though, less welcoming endeavors.
Retired Detective Carol Peletier
Anyone else feel like they’re watching some detective drama show/movie lately with the Carol plot?
“We need you back in the force Carol, you’re the only one that can stop the Saviors!”.
“You know I’m retired Morgan, my time putting bad guys away is behind me. Now get off my property”.
*Morgan Smirks*
“Alright Carol, but you know you’ll start missing this. Call me when you’re ready”.
“There won’t be a call Morgan.”
*Morgan Smiles*
“Of course there won’t”.
All this buildup of course is simply to make it more impactful when Carol is ‘dragged back into the action’ inevitably. It’s quite obvious really. She wanted to stay retired but they pulled her back in, this summer it’s Detective Carol 5: Payback, Rated R.

Who will end up owning who? Is the new group merely trying to intimidate Rick and crew while they have the upper hand? Are they a wolves like group living with a whole different set of moral code?
