Rosita is struggling on The Walking Dead. Will her recklessness get her killed?

Rosita is having a tough time on The Walking Dead. But her attitude and recklessness are quickly becoming problems for the group. Will her inability to control her emotions end up getting her killed?

The deaths of Glenn and Abe hit the whole group pretty hard. But while the others are pulling together to take Negan out and get justice Rosita seems to be pulling away from everyone. She is surly and snarky with everyone. She’s extremely impatient. And she’s getting really reckless which could end up getting her or someone else killed.

Rosita’s insistence on taking a shot at Negan when he was in Alexandria got Olivia killed. And got Eugene taken. But apparently that wasn’t the reality check it should have been for her. Even though The Survivors are getting ready to take on Negan it hasn’t happening fast enough to make her happy.

It definitely seems like if she got the chance she’d go after Negan again on her own. Which could put everyone at risk. She doesn’t seem to care anymore whose lives she is risking. She’s certainly willing to die to take Negan out. But she’s so blinded by her desire for revenge she doesn’t realize that if she doesn’t pull back she’s going to get more innocent people killed.

As she proved in “Rock In The Road” she’s got skills that the group doesn’t even know about. Who knew that Rosita was an explosives expert? But if she doesn’t stop acting out and distancing herself from the group she’s more of a liability than an asset.

Pulling Together, Not Apart

The strength of The Survivors has always been their loyalty and commitment to each other. Together they are willing to do whatever it takes to keep the group alive. But Rosita isn’t acting like part of the group anymore. She rebuffed Sasha’s attempt at friendship in “Rock In The Road”. She was snippy with Tara in “New Best Friends” and just has a bad attitude in general.

It’s understandable that she’s struggling. Abe broke up with her. Then he got murdered in front of her. She’s probably feeling some guilt for getting Olivia killed and Eugene taken by The Saviors. She may even feel like she doesn’t really have a place in the group anymore.

Rosita, Eugene and Abe were a bonded group of their own. They had been together for a long time before finding The Survivors. And Glenn was the first person they met and bonded with in The Survivors group. Now he’s gone, Abe is gone, and Eugene has been taken. Rosita may be feeling a little lost and separate from the remaining Survivors right now.

But she’s going to have to put her feelings aside and start falling in with Rick’s plan of attack if she wants to live. As Michonne said back in season 4 of The Walking Dead,” Anger makes you stupid. Stupid gets you killed.” Rosita is already on the short list not to make it out of this season. If she can’t get a handle on her desire for revenge she’s going to get herself and possibly others killed.
