From the moment he appeared beside King Ezekiel on The Walking Dead, Jerry has gained a huge following of fans who love his apocalyptic joie de vivre.

If there was one standout character in all of season seven of The Walking Dead, it’s hard to imagine that the title would go to anyone but Jerry. Jerry, played to perfection by actor Cooper Andrews, is the joyful right hand man to King Ezekiel. He’s the guy who keeps things in order around the Kingdom and he keeps meetings with the king in line. But this apocalyptic Robert’s Rules of Order devotee has a personality of solid gold and that’s why people love him.

Whether he’s wielding a giant axe or a badass cobbler that would make Mary Berry proud, Jerry is the man to know in the apocalypse.

Jerry has gained a massive following since his brief appearance on The Walking Dead episode “The Well.” The Internet is already very protective of Jerry, and they celebrate every time he shows up in an episode. In the middle of so much death and devastation, it’s nice seeing someone who still laughs and makes jokes. Sometimes that’s what the world needs.

Take a look at what some of Jerry’s fans were saying about his appearance in “New Best Friends:”
