#2: What’s up with Father Gabriel?

My man Gabe. Gabriel had taken supplies and left a note about a boat. He gassed up the car and left. Someone popped up in the car next to him when he was leaving Alexandria.

Rosita thought he just stocked up on supplies and bugged out. Maybe he had just seen too much death from Negan and was afraid. Rick didn’t believe that. Many people thought Rick might have seen Gabriel with the new group and that’s why he was smiling.

Rick didn’t see Gabriel, but he knew that these people had him. He asked for him. Father Gabriel has started to be able to assess things and work with Rick in a way that I don’t think anyone imagined when we saw Gabe on that rock or Gabe telling Deanna that Rick’s group would betray the Alexandrians.

Gabriel has started to see how the world works now. He has also started to use his skills as a priest in new ways in these different times. He is able to add some calm. He has to push himself to be courageous. It isn’t natural. But he is natural at observing and helping. He’s a part of the group.
