#1. How will Eugene fare in The Sanctuary?

When Negan took Eugene away from Alexandria and brought him to The Sanctuary, it was hard to picture him flourishing there. His awkwardness along with cocky version of intelligence made him an easy target for more physically intimidating people.

But after initially adjusting to life inside in the facility, Eugene actually started to flourish. He used his newly found power to get whatever he needed and even had Negan’s wives doing their best to use his abilities for their own purposes.

A transition happened during this episode. While he was previously pushed around by Rosita, Abraham, and others, he didn’t allow himself to be put in that position by the end of this episode. He grew a backbone and will hopefully continue to get stronger as the season goes on.

For now, Eugene pledging his allegiance to Negan should be considered a ploy, but what if he actually starts to enjoy the power and status he was given? That will be something to watch going forward.
