#2. How will Negan react to Daryl’s escape?

Some of the response to finding Fat Joey’s dead body and partially eaten sandwich laying on the ground after returning from Alexandria was heard through the walkie-talkie that Jesus took from The Saviors.

Negan’s displeasure was apparent by how frenzied Dwight became. After realizing the motorcycle was gone and rushing to Daryl’s cell, he released that the individual he was in charge of reprogramming was gone.

Punishing Dwight was the first step. A group of men beat him up in his room before Negan sent him out to look for his former wife. At that point, Negan must have seen something in Dwight to know he wouldn’t try to escape as well.

Dwight had to pass the buck on Daryl’s disappearance and Sherry’s escape, and he used Doctor Carson to do so. Planting a note in his desk, Negan punished the medical professional in a big way, throwing him face-first into a burning fire.
