#3. How will Eugene react to life in The Sanctuary?
On the surface, The Sanctuary looks like no place for Eugene. His meek manner, lack of posturing, and timid nature would lead most fans to think he would get pushed around and abused inside the walls of Negan’s home.
That wasn’t the case though. Instead, Eugene found power and stability. He discovered that if he stands up for himself that he can be respected and maybe even become recognized for his abilities and knowledge.
Of course, he had to fabricate a bit of his story to make The Saviors believe he wasn’t just a regular person. His quick thinking more than makes up for any kind of physical shortcomings the character previously showed on the program.
His comfort in his room, ability to show off his smarts, and desire to be wanted all should be a big pat on the back for Eugene, but it could be going to his head a bit too quickly and too intensely. Hopefully, he doesn’t lose sight of the people of Alexandria who still need his help.
