The Walking Dead: Exclusive interview with Oceanside’s Beatrice, actor Briana Venskus
Do you think that Beatrice and the group are going to be on pins and needles when they find out that Cyndie let her go? Or are they going to find out?
"Briana: “Here’s the thing, we kind of leave the episode not really knowing what really happens to either Kathy or Beatrice, or Cyndie for that matter. We just kind of just see her disappear. I would assume (and they are so good about making sure that nobody knows what’s happening), but I would assume that, you know, if Cyndie comes back and I know what happened to me (even though I got whacked on the head, it doesn’t erase your memory), I think it’s just a matter of how bad I make her sound when I say that she let her go."
I recently interviewed your friend Martinez. (Martinez plays Savior David on The Walking Dead.)
"Briana: “He’s such a good dude.”"
He said I should ask you about your work on Wonder Woman.
"Briana: “Oh, did he?” Well, that was so many years ago. But I seem to be in my career, in general, rotating through this comic book world, where I’ve gone from Wonder Woman to Supergirl to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to The Walking Dead and am now going to be in Outcast season two.”"

"Briana: I’m literally just floating around this awesome pretend world."
Since you are working through this comic world, maybe you are actually a superhero and we just don’t know?
"Briana: “Waiting for the day someone makes me a superhero somewhere. I’ve been living in that agent world where I look really tough and say a lot of bitchy things, but one day I will fly.”"
Yes, definitely!
Is there anything else you would like to share with the fans?
"Briana: “Honestly, I will say I have never met a fan base of a show that has been so cool. It’s just been such a fun experience to be a part of. It’s so incredible to be part of a brand new world and to interact with someone like Alanna and have such a great time with her. It was a week and a half that I was with her, and to be able to have that experience with someone who is that fun on a show, that is that great – it was unreal!"

It was certainly a great experience for me to get to know Briana and learn more about Beatrice and Oceanside. While Beatrice seems very stern and even sad at times, Briana is energetic, enthusiastic, and so much fun!
I cannot wait to see how Oceanside may play another role in The Walking Dead. Tara must be so conflicted right about now regarding the promise she made to keep silent about the Oceanside Community. But all those guns! What’s a good-hearted survivor like Tara to do? Beatrice was mad at Tara before. What will she think if Tara divulges their whereabouts?
